About

Drawing Parallels a Share Academy funded project in partnership between UCL, UAL and London Museums Group. This project focuses on the importance of pathology specimens and  investigates how artistic encounters can be used to collect responses and issues towards foetal and neonatal specimens. The aim is to offer space for discussion about them, the way they are displayed and how they are used and offer ways to give these specimens an opportunity to be re-valued and appreciated.

Working on the project are:

  • Dr. Alex Freeman, Division of Surgery and Interventional Science, UCL
  • Nick Booth and Subhadra Das, Teaching & Research Collections, Museums & Public Engagement, UCL
  • Carla Valentine, Technical Curator, Barts Pathology Museum,Queen Mary University
  • Dr Lucy Lyons, Artist in Residence,  Barts Pathology Museums, Queen Mary University
